How are decisions about credits becoming CCP-approved made?

Modified on Mon, 29 Apr at 12:12 PM

Assessments of Programs will be carried out by the ICVCM secretariat supported by members of the Expert Panel. We have about 30 Secretariat staff plus some consultancy support. There are 12 members of the Expert Panel supported by 14 Subject Matter Experts who will help with the more technical aspects of assessments.

An initial assessment of Categories will be carried out by internal and external experts on the Categories Working Group (CWG). It advises which Categories can be fast-tracked for approval, which raise more complex issues and require deeper assessment, and which should not be able to use the CCP label.

Our decision-making process remains unchanged. All decisions on CCP approval for Programs or Categories of credits will be taken by the ICVCM Board based on recommendations from experts and the Standards Oversight Committee.
